Who Can It Be Now?

So the shopping rush and Thanksgiving were awesome. People at Walmart got trampled and I guess someone at Best Buy got assault charges on them for hitting a cashier..isn't America wonderful? These people who get up early in the morning to shop for deals to save money and the people who get up even earlier to try to satisfy the people looking for deals. Hmmm I'd much ratrher be a shopper than the employee oft the month at Toys R Us or something..at least we can leave after we stand in line for two and a half hours to buy that ONE thing that was on sale!! Well my wife and I had a great time shopping and went to lunch together and just did some fun things together...I had fun. The traffic..the people..the sale items....not too bad as far as the stress level went...and the wife and I are avid shopping and people people so we thought it was amusing at times.
There are two kinds of shoppers..people who LIKE to shop for deals and people who HAVE to shop for deals..we fall somewhere in the middle of these two. These two DO NOT GET ALONG very well together. Kinda like those wired morning people when you are tired.. or those happy people when you want to be sad...it's all about balance I guess.

Hope everyone in Blogland had as much fun as we did!!
Happy belated Thankgiving!!

Just The Two Of Us

So another blog, another time. Everything is going great in the life of Arkay. Other than the wieght gain thing..never fails..fat people wanna be skinny, skinny people wanna gain some wieght. Tall people with curly hair wanna be shorter with straight hair. Why is no one happy with what they have? I am finding out that it is your heart that matters most. The way certain people react to different things..it all goes back to that can't judge a book by it's cover. The heart is the only way to really now someone. I feel trust, honesty and friendship. These have nothing whatsoever to do with appearance or money or color or background. It seems that more and more people that I meet everyday are so judgmental when they don't even know the whole story. Is it because we lack the knowlegde of this..or are we lazy? Or is it because we just don't have the patience anymore to really give people a chance..seems we are always looking for a quick easy way out. Things that make ya go hmmmm.

Above is Garrett and Jake they seem to be getting along great!! Cool kid..cool dog..good times..good good times.

Something completed is better than something just begun; patience is better than too much pride.

wE aRE fAMILY

Okay so serving at church is the shizzle. Being a part of Watermark is da bomb. It's like I want to tell everyone how much fun I have learning and growing spiritually. How I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and my heart has done wonderful things since.
Steve Thompson pegged it with his quote today. "This is it, there is no plan B". Jump on the road to redemption or be left behind wondering what you could've done different if givin' another chance. But it is all about second chances..and being redeemed. How sweet it is.
Today at Watermark we talked about WE. Not where or what or when or how..but WE. How does everyone on the outside see WE? I hear all sorts of things like the untucked shirt thng and casual church...I don't see myself as casual..I see myself at comfortable. Comfortable being where I am and what I am doing. Comfortable serving for a church body that I feel comfortable at...a place where there seems to be not judgement or whispers behind ones back but stories and confessions of hope and guidance and thankfulness.
How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along.

How much is that doggie??

We done got us a new dog!!
He is a Labrador Retriever (he loves to bite feet).
His color is known as fox red (his teeth are waayyyy sharp).
His name is Jake (he thinks everything is his toy).
He's pretty cool looking..and pretty affectionate when he's not biting the crap outta you.
He is four weeks old in the pic at the left,
and is almost 7 weeks old in the one on the top and weighs in and a whopping 10.2 lbs.
Doing good on the potty training..and doesn't particularly care for a collar...a true Watermarker!!
Delaney, Garrett and Payton think he's the shizzle until he uses them for a chew toy. It's a dog thing...establish companionship through severe needlelike bitings. Loyalty is deserved after the third pair of shoes I demolish. Jake gives a whole new meaning to "Where's that remote?"
