Proud to be an American

patriotismOne entry found for patriotism.
Main Entry: pa·tri·ot·ism Pronunciation: 'pA-trE-&-"ti-z&m, chiefly British 'pa-Function: noun: love for or devotion to one's country.
RKDrumdude steps out from the backstage and approaches the podium and speaks;
My blood is red white and blue. Not because I served in the Army for four years..not because my father and father-in-law served in the marines...not because of the war in Iraq..not because I don't care for politics..I am an AMERICAN with a capital A.
So many people who are AMERICANS bash the USA. I saw a bumpersticker the other day that read BUSH and the S was a swastika. C'mon people he's just a man that represents our country on a level we don't understand...do you really think he's not influenced by......everyone?
I strongly believe that if he had known it would be like this he would've have done what he has.
I don't like the war in Iraq but you know what? It's my country...I live here with my wife and kids.....we have it pretty good.
People who bash this country are the same people that talk bad about their moms. People who talk bad about where they live should simply do one thing...move. If I didn't like a place or felt truely that my leader was like Hitler..I would re-locate to another country...a better country...like maybe a country with a backbone..like France or Canada.
I have been to different countries...i know what it's like to see poor and starving children...I know what a third world police force and political corruption can do to a country that is not strong enough to fight back for freedom. I am glad and thankful I don't live there.
There are countries that will take your children at an early age and you will never see them again....ever. There are countries that will abort females because they only want males to be born for job opportunities and income reasons.
Yeah...I live in the USA...it may have its moments..but ya know what...who doesn't? I have experienced what others don't think about. I back this country up against any other because of the people that live here...Americans have been dieing for rights and land and freedom since this country started....I am proud and thankful to be an American...and I ALWAYS will be.
PEACE OUT
AND GOD BLESS

A big part of what makes this country great is the ability to speak out agaisnt a government that you believe is wrong.Once you take that away there is no point in fighting for freedom because without that one right all others will disappear. Then your right you might as well leave and go to another place were the govenment tells you what to think and feel and say or else. The right to speak out against a government that you believe to be corrupt is the single most single most important right that we as Americans have and in my opinion the most American thing anyone can do.

True that...but we have to be supportive of our troops at the same time. It is difficult to do sometimes....stay patriotic when you feel our government isn't doing the best they can and be supportive too.

Hey Lori.

Shouldn't you be planning a reunion? Do you really have time to post on this really old blog, that never gets updated?

I think the owner of this... What's his name? RK, ParKay, Dude, GayDude, Some Dude? Whatever... Anyway I think he has dissapeared, never to be seen again.

So get back to work making this reunion one to remember.
