Livin' la vida loca

So here we are in SUN DIEGO, no family, a couple funny friends, still searching for a gathering that we enjoy. The kids are starting to really settle in and enjoy it and wifey and I are starting to get used to it as well.
We need people to come visit us. I heard plane tickets were about $330 round trip from Chicago to here. Or was that Indianapolis to here? Sounds pretty cheap considering your can stay at our place for free.
Recieved alot of feedback on my homeless blog last month...still confused as to where I stand but I am in good company, and will continue to excercise my mental capabilities when it comes to giving away money.
Our family talked about what we missed most from G.H.. The kids went with the whole family thing. I went with the family thing too as did Michelle but by looking into it further we miss our poker buddies and camping alot too. It doesn't feel like we are stranded out here anymore. It's going to be awhile before we move back...we are trying to position ourselves and save money to come back once a year (Coast Guard Festival) for a week or more at a time.
Trader Joes, Wahoos Fish Tacos, Souplantation,Hodads, places we frequently dine at when we can afford to. They are great places and when we come back to G.H. I would love to open up something like a Wahoos. It would put Butches Beach Burrito to shame. Alot more healthier than fast food too!
Well just a heads up to let everyone know that we are still in Sun Diego and doing well for what it is worth. We miss everyone at home (and The Cramers) alot. Can't wait to see you guys. They say "Absence makes the heart grow fonder", whoever said this probably lived alone and didn't have any friends for a considerable amount of time. Same guy probably said, "Money can't buy happiness" this is probably one of the guys I gave a dollar to on the corner of 5th and G downtown.
God Bless You All
and Peace Out,
RKDrumdude

Ohhh, we miss you guys too. I love the picture. Very good looking family. I bought a book with music CD for the kids and need to get it in the mail...It's for you and Michelle too. It's awesome with many catchy tunes for kids like tantrum by the spin doctors, pots and pans(nice rhythm piece wade'll love), cow planet(jammin bass), and I need a nap(the sweetest little tune). Anyway, we Cramers would love to come out but it's gonna be a couple of years before we can afford it with the house project and all. You guys are always welcome to stay with us when you can come back this way. I'll try to remember the beano.:) Luv ya,
Lori and the gang

"Visit once a year" "Open up a business when you get back"

WTF! Are you coming back or not? ;-)

We miss you guys too. Camping is coming up, and we have found it's just not the same without ya.

We're in the same boat as Lori (different reasons but same boat) Can't see us making the trip for at least a year or two more. (but if you guys become permanent out there we will definitely be coming out to see ya.)

I see Michelle has logged on and made a post at MC Sites. That's cool. Maybe it will get Mary to talk on there more. (of course that was probably the only time she will post on there huh?) Oh well...

Hope you guys are being happy out there, and we'll see ya when we see ya. Hugs and kisses to all... Especially that blue*eyed hottie of yours! I'll give her two hugs and three kisses.

LOL... I love ya man! ;-)

And no. You can't have my budlight.
(speaking of beer! Have you found any good micros out there?)

Dude...Red Trolley by Karl Strauss
Stella Artois, and Stone i.p.a. they are all way good. Cold Stella in a frosty mug is my favorite of all time but it isn't local like the other two. We have a Gordon Biersch and a Bevmo in Mission Valley that has an unbelievable selection of kickbutt stuff. We have to stay here for awhile because we can't afford to come home...it was like 74 here today and we went for a bike ride to the beach. I gave up looking for a job in MI..couldn't find anything appealling so we are going to tough it out here until ...until we can afford to come home (vacation or permanent..undecided at this time) We love everyone in our circle of friends and family and miss them dearly, but it is what it is and we can't afford to come home. We have to make it work out here for awhile. Sometimes life throws you a lemon...so we cut it up and put it in our Corona!!!

I figured there'd be a lot of choices out there. That's cool.

I've decided (whenever I can afford to) I'm going to start putting all my beer money into local beers. (Why line the pockets of those big boys when most of it is water anyway.)

New Holland Brewing company has quite a selection and I think I will start with them and just try everything they have to offer and then move on to another and another until I find a local brew that I can call my own. :)

Gotta keep the money here so more of my friends don't move away. ;)

Speaking of local beer, we should check out the Michigan Brewer's Festival this year.

Wade you should come back for that. I don't know if anyone else knows how to get there.
