Delaney talks to statues As she dances 'round the pool
She chases cats through Roman ruins
And stomps on big toadstools
She speaks a language all her own
That I cannot discover
But she knows I love her so
When I tuck her 'neath the covers
Chorus: Father, daughter Down by the water
Shells sink, dreams float
Life's good on our boat
Delaney draws me pictures
She finger paints the sand
We chase the dogs and hop like frogs
Then I do my bad handstands
She's growin' up too fast for me
And askin' lots of questions
Some I know the answers to
And some I'm lookin' for suggestions
Chorus: Father, daughter Born by the water
Surf's up, sun's down
Life in a beach town
And some of the things I've seen
Maybe she won't have to see
But there's a lot I want to pass along
That was handed down to me
Delaney talks to statues
As she dances 'round the pool
She chases cats through Roman ruins
And stomps on big toadstools
She speaks a language all her own
Just a little like her mother
And she knows I love her so
When I tuck her 'neath the covers
Chorus: Father, daughter Down by the water
Shells sink, dreams float Life's good on our boat
Shells sink, dreams float Life's good on our boat
Awesome song...awesome kid.
I am so thankful to have such awesome kids
I find most of my prayer is to give thanks for all I have
or all I have been given. It is difficult sometimes to always look to the positive
things in life. I am becoming a more balanced and peaceful person everyday.
It seems to be getting more difficult to find things in my life that are negative. Doubt this makes any sense but I hear people complain of there jobs all day long.. Is there really a better job? Is it really that bad?
Do I sound like that?
What if when they said something negative, I mentioned something about being alive,
about even having a job,
wasn't sick or dying,
that I can work... mentally and physically.
It just seems that everyone, including me, usually spends most the time searching for whats wrong with everything...
instead of appreciating all that GOD made right.
Think about THAT fellow bloggers.

Awesome song, Wade! Do you have music to go with it? And you're totally right. You're living in ABUNDANCE, my friend. You've got it all.
